Tumble, bounce and cartwheel at the Vail Gymnastics Center, a 9,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, which houses martial arts, trampoline, fencing and gymnastics for all ages. Toddler Bear gymnastics classes serve children as soon as they can walk, but VRD also coaches a competitive team. Walk-in guests are welcome to join classes, and visiting competitive gymnasts can join the team for practices while in the area. This facility is available for rental for events including birthday parties. Drop-ins are welcome. Please call ahead.

Please Note: Enrollment is for a month of classes and will last until a parent withdraws their child. If you would like to withdraw your child, you must give written notice two weeks prior to your withdraw date. Information is available here. 

Specialty Classes/Programs

• Preschool/Toddler Gymnastics       |      Walking to 4.5 Years       |   $45 monthly     |  Information
  Children ages three to four and a half years old will enjoy learning basic motor skills and exploring on the gym's obstacle course and balance and swinging areas. Some children may need parental assistance until they feel comfortable in class alone. Class is 45 minutes long. Please call ahead for drop-in.
• Classes for Boys and Girls      |      Ages 5 and Older       |      Information
  Classes feature 10 to 15 minutes of structured warm-up to improve flexibility, strength and endurance, followed by rotations to different stations for tumbling and use of the gymnastics equipment. Children will be grouped according to their age and skill level. Please call ahead for drop-in.
• Dance      |      All Ages (Coed)      |      Information  |     Returns Fall 2011
• Tai Chi      |     Ages 18 and older |   11 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays
  Perfect for those who are looking to improve their flexibility, core strength, balance and overall general conditioning. The Tai Chi classes will take place from 11 to noon on Wednesdays beginning Jan. 4 and cost is $100 for 10 classes.

  The Gymnastics Center partners with Master Mathew Bayley and the Vail Academy of Martial Arts to provide martial arts instruction for both children and adults.

Trampoline/Tumbling       |      6 Years and Older       |      45 minute classes     |      $45 monthly
Classes include instruction on basic trampoline safety and tricks. It's the perfect opportunity for young skiers and snowboarders to perfect their tricks off the slope. The trampoline is a 7’ x 14’ in-ground trampoline connected to an 8' by 22' foam pit.

Open Gym

Open gym offers athletes of all levels, ages 13 years and older, an opportunity to utilize the Gymnastics Center equipment including trampoline, tumbling mat, foam pit and more. 

Competitive Team Program       |      Ages Based on Skill Level
The Vail Gymnastics Center Competitive Team Program includes Pre-Team, Compulsory and Optional Programs. Team members compete in the Colorado Eagles League, as well as the USA Gymnastics Program. Competitive gymnasts from other areas are encouraged to drop in and practice with the team during their stay in the Vail Valley. Enrollment is by evaluation only. The Gymnastics Center partners with Master Mathew Bayley and the Vail Academy of Martial Arts to provide  instruction for both children and adults. 

Youth Martial Arts Camps    |  July 16-20, July 23-27 and Aug. 6-10   |    Details
These camps will introduce children ages five to 12 to all aspects of martial arts. Offered for all ability levels and operated by Vail Martial Arts Academy instructor Mathew Bayley, they include instruction on all major Japanese, Korean, Chinese and American martial arts. Instruction also covers the national, award-winning Alert Kids Kidnap Prevention Program. Cost is $150 per child. Call 970-949-8121 for details.

Birthday Parties       |      Information
Host a birthday party at the Gymnastics Center and guests will enjoy access to the trampoline, loose foam pit, rope swing, obstacle course, games and more. Parties are 90 minutes long and include instructors and invitations. Food and non-alcoholic drinks are encouraged, but not included.

Vail Gymnastics Camp    |   June 25-29, July 9-13, July 23-27 and Aug. 13-17  |   Ages 5 & Older    |    
Full Day: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (bring lunch)   |  Cost $175  |    Forms 
A week-long summer camp for children ages four and older. This fun camp not only includes gymnastics, but also outdoor adventures such as hiking nearby trails and visiting local parks, plus excursions to Dobson Ice Arena, the Imagination Station, Vail Nature Center and more. Children are grouped according to age and skill level. Children must be five years or older to attend the full day camp. Call 970-479-2287 for registration and details.
